On Oct 13, 2016 the organizing scientific committee of ACSIN2016 considered the proposals for next ACSIN2018 by Prof. Yi Du to be held in Australia, by Prof. Kostantin Elsov and Prof. Sultan Dabagov to be held in South Russia and by Prof. Masakazu Ichikawa to be held in Japan. After a discussion the Organizing committee selected the proposal of Prof. Masakazu Ichikawa to host the next ACSIN conference organized by the Tohoku University in 2018 in Sendai, Japan with chairman Prof. Yuji Takakuwa.

The next ACSIN2018 has been announced by Prof. Augusto Marcelli and Prof. Antonio Bianconi at in the closing section of the International Conference on Atomically Controlled Surfaces, Interfaces and Nanostructures (ACSIN2016) held in Rome at the Bruno Touschek congress center of the Laboratori Nazionali di Frascati of the Istituto Nazionale di Fisica Nucleare.
Prof. Yuji Takakuwa, chairman of next ACSIN2018 conference, presented on October 14, 2016 the outline of the next ACSIN2018 conference at the presence of the chairmen Prof. Antonio Bianconi and Prof. Augusto Marcelli. The next conference will be held at the Sendai International Center (http://www.aobayama.jp/english/) on October or November 2018.
